Receptionist
Lakewood Veterinary Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, top-notch Client Service Representative to join our team. Job Duties Include:

  • Provide quality, friendly client care to our patients and clients
  • Receive incoming calls on multiple phone lines and schedule appointments, direct calls where needed, fill heartworm prevention and flea prevention according to our guidelines
  • Obtain and input data into computer all necessary data concerning the owner and the patients to include previous history
  • Verify address, phone numbers, and email on all clients upon arrival
  • Maintain transactions with clients which includes balancing of credit cards and cash at the end of the day
  • Knowledge of flea, heartworm, prescription diets, and vaccination protocols
  • Be able to educate and answer client questions
  • Assisting clients to and from their vehicles when needed
  • Frequently transport inventory to stock shelves, need to be able lift 30 pounds and occasionally handling 50 pounds
  • Open and close practice to include end of day processing
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties, mailings, cleaning, organizing reception area, and sending referrals to other hospitals

Kennel Technician

Lakewood Veterinary Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, top-notch Kennel Technician to join our team. We strive to be the industry’s premiere veterinary care facility. Job Duties Include:

– Feed, walk, exercise, and bathe animals as needed in our care.

– Bring animals to and from the kennel during check-in and check-out times.

– Clean up after animals both inside the facility and outside, and clean animal runs and cages as needed.

– Maintain the clinic as a whole by performing tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping/mopping floors, wiping counters, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and checking equipment and supplies.

– Assist other staff members on occasion with such tasks as helping restrain an animal, helping clients with their pets, etc.

– Be available on nights, weekends, and holidays to tend to boarding animals.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

– Effectively communicate in the English language both in writing and orally.

– Accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

– Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

– Regularly stand for extended periods.

– Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

– Maintain confidence around pets.

Experience, Education, and/or Training
